The rear part will also get new taillights, and the bumper will sit higher as well. Generally, this redesign should provide even better appeal and better aerodynamics.

The upcoming 2020 Toyota Tacoma Diesel will receive plenty of interior updates. The dash is now more enhanced and it holds more aluminum accents. The layout of the buttons and dials is much better now. Moreover, those buttons are now covered with a tactile material. The instrument cluster is placed higher than before. New Tacoma will offer latest phone integrations as standard.
That means both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are in the offer. The infotainment system is getting an update and there will be more USB ports available. The cabin offers more space than before, but nothing significant. However, the legroom is ample as before. The comfort is great and you can opt for a more luxurious cabin via higher trim levels or some special pickup’s versions.
2020 Toyota Tacoma powertrain
The current Toyota Tacoma is available with two powertrains. The base engine is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder DOHC unit. It can produce 160 horses and it comes with a two-wheel-drive configuration.
If you want better performances, an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine is also available. This powerful V6 generates 280 horses and it offers a four-wheel-drive setup as standard.

However, the all-new 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine is the biggest addition for the 2020 Toyota Tacoma Diesel. The brand-new powertrain returns 195 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This unit will be mated to the six-speed automatic transmission. While the exact engine’s specs are not available yet, you can expect an additional boost of the fuel economy.
2020 Toyota Tacoma Diesel price and arrival
The forthcoming 2020 Toyota Tacoma Diesel will arrive in three different trim levels. The base model starts at around $26,000 while the TRD Sports will cost around $33,000.
The TRD Pro model is above $40,000. This pickup truck will become available in the middle of 2019.
