The all-new 2021 Tesla Cybertruck is anything but ordinary. It departs from the traditional pickup truck in every possible way. Rolling onto a stage a couple of days ago, many of you taught that this is some kind of a joke. Whatsoever, Cybertruck became a subject of internet memes. “It looks like a car from the 80s movies where the future is 1999” is our favorite comment about new Cybertruck.
However, the reality is different. Till yesterday, Tesla received 146k orders. This model comes with a stainless steel body, and it offers up to 500 miles of electric range. It sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, which makes it the fastest pickup truck available. The price will start at $40,000, and you can preorder it now.
2021 Cybertruck Looks Strange and Funny
Despite its odd look, the 2021 Tesla Cybertruck offers a terrific exterior. Its appearance is a subject of fun in previous couple of days. However, Tesla’s new model will offer something unique and never seen before. For a start, the body is made of cold-rolled stainless steel. You probably remember that refrigerator from the Back to the Future movie.
During the Cybertruck’s launch, we saw Tesla’s head of design swinging the sledgehammer into the doors. The result is, no damage at all. Moreover, a 9mm bullet couldn’t damage this fantastic bodywork. However, doors aren’t that much durable as metal ball shattered it. However, it seems like the safety ratings are very impressive.
Generous Interior Room and Massive Touchscreen
The approaching 2021 Tesla Cybertruck will offer a room for six passengers. The rear quarters will feature a three-seat rear bench. On the other hand, the front area comes with a folding middle seat that also functions as a center console. The bed is 6.5-inch long, and Cybertruck offers 100 cubic feet of lockable storage space. The Self Driving system costs an additional $7,000. It adds trailer docking, automatic parking and so much more.
A massive 17-inch touchscreen is available, and it dominates the center stack. The Yoke steering wheel is totally airplane-like, and it comes with the left and right grip — another strange feature but probably very useful. Finally, a digital rearview mirror displays the view from a rear-facing camera, and it is a very functional addition.
Range, Acceleration, Towing Capacity
If you want the best possible all-electric range, you should go for the Tri-Motor model. According to Tesla, this variant provides 500 miles of range. The 2021 Tesla Cybertruck will offer a dual-motor version that delivers 300 miles. The base single motor Cybertruck delivers 250 miles of all-electric range. The acceleration is truly impressive. The fastest Tri-Motor model can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds. Furthermore, top speed is rated at 130 mph.
Dual Motor Cybertruck will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Finally, the model with a single motor needs 6.5 seconds for the same distance. As for charging, Tesla will provide a Supercharger, and Cybertruck will charge rapidly at a rate of 250 kilowatts. Payload capacity is rated at 3,500 pounds. On top of that, Tesla Cybertruck can tow 14,000, 10,000, or 7,500 pounds. Finally, this truck will use an adaptive air suspension.
2021 Tesla Cybertruck Price and Release Date
The price of the base model will start at $40,000. It is a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version of the 2021 Tesla Cybertruck. Dual Motor version will cost $50,000 and the Tri-Motor AWD variant $70,000. It is essential to say that Tesla is no longer eligible for federal tax incentives.
