The upcoming 2020 Renault Alaskan is the first light-duty pickup truck in Renault’s disposal. Europe is becoming a hot market for light-duty trucks. The arriving Alaskan will be available on the American soil as well. This model will debut sometime in 2020. Alaskan is closely related to the Nissan Navara.
The two will share the same platform and the same design language. Even the dimensions and shape are very similar. The new 2020 Alaskan also offers a five-link rear suspension, the ride is quiet and smooth. The interior is comfortable and modern. Under the hood, Alaskan is offering both gasoline and diesel engine choices.

2020 Renault Alaskan Offers Unique and Stylish Design
After the redesign, the 2020 Renault Alaskan looks very similar to the Nissan Navara model. However, Alaskan does offer uniqueness in its own way. The front grille is bolder than before and it adds horizontal inserts.
Renault’s badge sits in the middle of the grille and more chrome materials are providing modern appeal. Headlights are new and the front bumper looks perfect. Sporty styling cues are visible as well and we like the front fenders with the small grille on it. Side fenders are muscled-up and the side steps are a standard feature, even on the base model.

2020 Renault Alaskan Exterior Is Modern and Comfort
The interior of the all-new 2020 Renault Alaskan won’t suffer many changes. Again, the interior is closely related to the interior of the Nissan Navara. The cabin looks modern and offers plenty of comforts. The layout is perfect and everything from the seats to the controls is nicely laid out. The infotainment system is up to date and HVAC controls will get a slight re-arrangement.
The dashboard looks great. Alaskan will be available in both left and right-hand drives so the dash will be easy to mirror. Information can be seen on the two analog gauges and two smaller gauges are also providing important vehicle information. However, the real modern feature is the touchscreen display that comes with the navigation. The storage bin is sitting on top of the center stack and it sports a 12-volt power outlet.

2020 Renault Alaskan Engine Specs
The 2020 Renault Alaskan will offer different types of engines for different markets. The base 2.3-liter twin-turbo engine will be available in every market. This four-cylinder unit is producing up to 190 horsepower. Two optional powertrains will be in the offer in specific market. The 2.5-liter gasoline unit offers 190 horses and 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel 187 HP.
Interestingly, all powertrains are offering the same amount of power. However, the diesel unit will offer more torque and it will act much smoother and quieter. All three drivetrains are offering a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Renault Alaskan Price and Release Date
The price of the Renault’s newest pickup truck will start at $30,000. The production of the 2020 Renault Alaskan already started in Spain, however, first sales are delayed.
For that reason, new Alaskan won’t arrive by the end of 2019. Whatsoever, this pickup will hit the dealerships in Europe at the beginning of 2020.
