2023 Ram Dakota

2023 Ram Dakota Officially Coming Next Year

The 2023 Ram Dakota after the confirmation about its comeback, has been rendered. Many automotive magazines recently stated that Ram was canceled the development of midsize Dakota, but this news is obviously fake. The manufacture will introduce the new model sometime next year, and you should expect a completely new look.

Moreover, renderings are available, and we must admit that the forthcoming truck looks like a typical Ram 1500 model. However, the front facia is redesigned, and the Ram Dakota features a more aggressive design thanks to the massive grille and new pair of headlights. Besides the exterior, we should also expect the cabin to be similar to Ram`s 1500 truck.

2023 Ram Dakota First Look

The first look at the 2023 Ram Dakota leaves an excellent impression. This model looks closer to the Ram 1500 with some here and there upgrades. Firstly, we noticed that the new pickup is wearing an almost identical front fascia. It features a black grille, robust hood, and fog lights as standard.

Also, unlike the Ram 1500, the Dakota has a slimmer headlamp accented by the LED signature lighting. On the other hand, the side profile, tailgate, and taillamps are precisely the same as on the Ram 1500. The same we can say for bling-bling wheels and the squared-off wells.

Cabin Rumors

On the inside, the forthcoming 2023 Ram Dakota will hosts the same cabin as the Ram 1500. So, expect upright interior design with recognizable features. First of all, the new upholstery is a must, along with the unique shape and plenty of soft touches. On the other hand, the Dakota should borrow the same infotainment from the Ram 1500.

That means the dash will be highlighted with a large 12-inch touchscreen. Obviously, the manufactures goal is to deliver a spacious cabin with a great package of standard equipment. The range-topping trim will surely provide more amenities, and we can expect much better infotainment, safety, and standard leather upholstery.

2023 Ram Dakota Powertrain Specs

There is no word about Dakota’s engine lineup. However, many believe that the new model will use some of the existing engines. The first engine that will undoubtedly happen is a 3.6-liter V6. This gasoline powertrain can deliver 285 horsepower, and it uses an eight-speed automatic transmission as the only gearbox option. If you didn’t know, the same engine powers the Wrangler model.

As for the optional engine, the most likely outcome is a 2.0-liter turbo-four that produces at least 295 hp. Reportedly, the manufacturer will put a smooth six-speed manual transmission with the option to choose an automatic gearbox. AWD system should be available, but only on higher-grade trims.

Release Date, Price

The price of the new 2023 Ram Dakota will be in range to the more competitive Ram 1500. That means we can expect it to starts at no less than $30,000, or slightly above that.

Ram will make this model more aggressive than most of its rivals. However, this truck is still one year away from being released, and sales should start around summertime. The new pickup will try to beat some of the most challenging trucks in the segment, like the Ford Ranger and GMC Sierra.
