Moreover, Ram will try to replicate some cues that we can see on the Ram 1500 model. Of course, the goal is to deliver a more modern appearance in order to rival Ford and Chevrolet. For that reason, Ram 2500 will look better than ever.
As for the rest of the changes, the exterior design will get a couple of minor tweaks. Furthermore, the cabin will feature more standard equipment and slightly improved comfort. Under the hood, this heavy-duty pickup truck shouldn’t introduce significant updates. However, a hybrid powertrain is a strong rumor at the moment.

The forthcoming 2021 Ram 2500 is about to get further visual improvements. According to the newest spy shots, a heavy-duty truck will feature a new grille. The shape of the grille is different, and it seems like the new frame is visible. Even the surrounding elements are entirely different. Moreover, Ram 2500 has been caught with the tweaked hood design.
Front fenders are revised, and headlights are a carryover. The rear part will host a couple of changes too. For a start, taillights are now looking closer to the taillights on the Ram 1500. Whatsoever, the third brake light is now on top of the cab.
Interior Changes
The interior of the new 2021 Ram 2500 will look more modern. However, don’t expect any significant improvement on the inside. The heavy-duty model already offers modern-looking interior and a long list of standard equipment. For 2021, Ram will focus on the tech. As you may know, Ford plans to make its F-Series tech-dominant in 2021.
Because of this particular reason, Ram 2500 will get further high-technology updates. The new infotainment system now comes with latest phone integrations. Gasoline and Diesel Specs
Standard on the 2021 Ram 2500 will be a 6.4-liter Hemi V8. This gasoline engine is producing 410 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. This unit comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and the cylinder deactivation system. To compare, that is more powerful than you can find on the new Chevrolet Silverado. Chevy is offering 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
As for the diesel, Ram will offer two different outputs. A Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel is available with a 6-speed transmission. This inline-six powertrain provides 370 horsepower and either 850 lb-ft of 100 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to such powerful figures, new Ram 2500 will tow almost 20,000 pounds. On the other hand, gasoline powertrain is rated at 14,000 pounds.
2021 Ram 2500 Release Date and Price Details
The price of the next 2021 Ram 2500 will jump but not drastically. Current model costs $32,000 and new one will start at $33,000. The manufacturer will release its new model, along with the rest of the RAM HD lineup later in 2020.
