2020 Ram 4500 Exterior Look
Despite the heavy camouflage, spy photos still showed us plenty of exterior updates. Clearly, new 2020 Ram 4500 will be based on the light-duty Ram 1500 model. New Ram 1500 introduced numerous improvements and most of the changes are visible on the prototype of the Ram 4500. On top of that, this heavy-duty pickup truck will get its own unique upgrades too. Chassis is improved for the start.
The design language is still the same but the styling looks more modern and upscale. Its robust character is still present but some updates are looking very subtle and clean. Also, Ram 4500 will get new tow hooks and higher hood. Crosshair grille stays intact and we can expect new optional wheels. Overall, this model isn’t just a tool anymore. Now it looks upscale and it gets the job done.

When it comes to powertrain options, everything comes down to two engine choices. A base 6.4-liter Hemi V8 produces 370 horses and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with more than solid power and it gets the job done. However, if you want something significantly better, than the optional diesel engine is the answer. A 6.7-liter Cummins generates 325 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque.
Towing Capacity
The standard unit can tow up to 19,000 pounds, which is great. On the other hand, the diesel engine is rated at almost 31,000 pounds. The diesel variant is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
2020 Ram 4500 Price and Release Date
The price of the upcoming 2020 Ram 4500 will start at around $45,000. This price is in line with Ford’s F-450 model. Of course, higher trims will cost significantly more.
Exact release date is not available yet. However, this heavy-duty pickup will hit the markets in the last quarter of 2019.
