0

The all-new 2021 Ram 3500 is almost ready for new mid-cycle refreshments. Ram plans to upgrade its complete heavy-duty lineup. As in the past, the manufacturer will continue to deliver updates that are similar to the updates on the Ram 1500 model. It is no brainer, for real. After all, Ford and Chevy are doing precisely the same thing.

For that reason, the race for the best heavy-duty pickup truck continues. All three manufacturers are offering impressive models with high power and upscale design. From the inside, new Ram 3500 will get regular updates in the technology department. A hybrid powertrain is still a rumor and there is no official confirmation yet.

The forthcoming 2021 Ram 3500 is about to get additional visual upgrades. Once again, the design of the new Ram 150 will have a significant impact. On the other hand, the manufacturer won’t deliver such a drastic exterior change. However, fresh Ram 3500 will now look even more aggressive. On top of that, styling is more modern and more upscale.

New spy shots are confirming new exterior features that we speculated about. Headlights are all-new and heavy camouflage on the front fascia suggests further changes. The rear part gets reshaped taillights. That is what we know so far. Hopefully, we will see a couple of more upgrades on the upper trim levels.

Still, rumors are suggesting a new interface for standard and optional displays.

The infotainment system will surely get all of the essential updates. Safety is already proper and Ram already offers vast driver-assistance aid. As for the design, the interior will largely remain. Mega Cab variant is once again in the offer which is a good thing.

Gasoline, Diesel, Towing Capacity,

The approaching 2021 Ram 3500 will continue to deliver a 6.4-liter V8 as the standard engine. This output produces up to 385 horses and 400 lb-ft of torque. A 6.7-liter V8 diesel is optional. Cummins engine cranks out astonishing 930 lb-ft of torque and 370 hp.

Ram 3500 tows 14,000 pounds with a gasoline option. However, diesel powertrain pulls over 30,000. As for the transmission, a 6-speed automatic gearbox is standard. A hybrid variant is still a speculation. Hybrid is very likely for Ram HD, but that will not happen before 2022.

2021 Ram 3500 Price and Release Date

New 2021 Ram 3500 should cost the same as its predecessor. The updates are minor, so the new heavy-duty pickup truck will start at $32,000. 2021 Mazda BT50 Gets Additional Upgrades

0

The forthcoming 2021 Mazda BT50 is almost ready to hit the dealerships once again. The 2020 BT50 will be a new-gen model and 2021 BT50 will build on that. The next-gen model will get a tougher look, more muscles, and better interior. Mazda plans to bring its pickup truck closer to the CX-5 crossover SUV.

Knowing that, the newest upgrades will be oriented towards the CX-5 model. Still, BT50 pickup is still not certain for the U.S. markets. On top of that, the new 2021 model will borrow some cues from its sibling, Isuzu D-Max.

New Design Language

The previous model was a total fluke. There have been so many reasons for the customers to avoid this pickup truck. Its Nagare design language didn’t fit into a pickup truck at all. However, the 2021 Mazda BT50 will be completely different. It will wear the company’s famous Kodo design language. On top of that, plenty of styling cues are shared with the Isuzu D-Max pickup. On top of that, Mazda will look to deliver some cues from the CX-5 crossover SUV.

So, we can expect a more SUV-like appearance with a more rugged styling and modern look. For 2021, BT50 will get only a couple of exterior modifications. Furthermore, we can expect more standard equipment this time. 16-inch wheels will remain standard and we could see larger grille and bumpers.

2021 Mazda BT50 facelift

Comfortable and Modern Interior

The arriving pickup truck should be offered in numerous trim levels. That will determine the level of luxury from the inside. The 2021 Mazda BT50 will definitely look better than its predecessor. The base trim level will offer more standard features and the comfort will be great. Once again, the CX-5 crossover SUV will have a great impact on the cabin of the new pickup. For that reason, upper trim levels will offer a lot of luxury and everything from the inside is more SUV-like.

Pretty good start. BT50 model will offer both two-door and four-door versions. You don’t have to worry about the interior legroom and headroom. Cabin space is very generous and the interior will benefit from the new upholstery. Tech-wise, Mazda plans to offer more safety and driver-assistance aids. A 7.8-inch touchscreen remains standard and the infotainment system will get all of the important updates.

2021 BT50 Diesel and Gasoline Engines

Brand-new 2021 Mazda BT50 will continue to ride on its 3.2-liter diesel engine. This five-cylinder turbodiesel generates 200 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. If the reports are true, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the only gasoline option. This SkyActiv powertrain is capable of producing 185 horses and 285 lb-ft of twist. Some reports are even suggesting a 3.0-liter that powers the Isuzu D-Max pickup.

No doubt, it is another likely outcome for BT50. This powertrain can return 180 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. No matter which engine you opt for, a front-wheel-drive system is offered as standard. The power will go through the 6-speed automatic transmission.

2021 Mazda BT50 Price and Release Date

Because of the previous mistakes, Mazda can’t afford another miss. For that reason, the 2021 Mazda BT50 will be an affordable model that will cost around $29,000. Thanks to the numerous trim levels, upper trims will surely cost over $40,000.

New BT50 pickup will look to rival Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux, and VW Amarok. Still, this pickup won’t arrive in the U.S. At least not in the next year or two.

F-150 Electric Prototype

A test mule has been spotted in Michigan. Many reports are suggesting that we are dealing with the 2021 Ford F-150 Electric. It makes perfect sense in our opinion. Ford did confirm the electric variant this year. So, this could be the prototype of the electric pickup.

On the other hand, F-150 Electric won’t depart from the regular gasoline model in terms of design. Of course, the only exceptions are a higher ride and a place for a plugin. Higher ride is a must for Blue Oval as the pickup needs the space to accommodate large batteries beneath the floor.

Logically, all of the F-150 trim levels and special versions will be more than well-equipped. For the start, the new touchscreen is certain to happen.

Powertrain Rumors, Towing Capacity

It is hard to predict the exact specs of the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Electric. At this point, no one really knows how much power will this version generate. Of course, everyone except for the electric variant to deliver better performance than the gasoline version. Ford teased us with a video of the new electric F-150. In that video, F-150 is towing a train full of other F-150 pickups. The feedback on the video was very positive, but there are so many questions to be answered.

For the start, is this a suggestion of an impressive towing capacity? Blue Oval will invest around $500 million in the startup Rivian Automotive. As you probably know, Rivian is promising amazing figures for its new R1T model. Ford could largely benefit from it. Besides great towing capacity, F-150 Electric will get amazing mileage.

2021 Ford F-150 Electric Price and Release Date

If Blue Oval plans to rival Tesla, then the price should be easy to determinate. The upcoming 2021 Ford F-150 Electric will start between $40,000 and $50,000.

Styling is very odd and not that eye-catching as many fans hoped. B2 pickup will borrow a lot of stuff from the B1 SUV. Whatsoever, pickup version is very similar but it is longer and it comes with the bed. The square shape is practical and that’s it.

More Standard Features

Interior of the all-new 2021 Ford F-250 will gain some improvements for sure. On the other hand, most of the updates are technology-oriented. Interior layout will remain, along with the dashboard, instrument cluster, steering wheel, and gear shifter. Design is incredible and everything looks new and upscale.

Upper trim levels are offering more luxury. We like Ford’s two-tone leather seats and all-weather floor mats. This pickup truck will gain more safety aids, new infotainment system and new interface on the displays. On top of that, F-250 will now get more standard equipment.

2021 Ford F-250 Engine and Towing Rate

The arriving model will get a hybrid powertrain. We’ll get to that later. The rest of the engine lineup will remain. That means a 7.0-liter V8 is available once again. This gasoline unit recently replaced an aging 6.2-liter V8. It delivers 385 horses and 430 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic gearbox is offered and fuel economy is above average for the heavy-duty segment. Reliable 6.7-liter V8 is optional. This turbodiesel powertrain generates 450 hp and up to 935 lb-ft of torque.

Thanks to such a great torque figure, the 2012 Ford F-250 can tow around 33,000 pounds. A hybrid version is finally available. In cooperation with the Boston-based company “XL Hybrids”, Ford is greener for another hybrid. Both F-150 and F-250 models will get this type of drivetrain. We are still waiting for the exact engine specs. Surely, hybrid version is the most significant upgrade for 2021. XL Hybrids promises around 25 percent better fuel efficiency. It will be interesting to see official details.
