The approaching 2021 Isuzu D-Max is already in the works. As you probably know, the 2020 D-Max will be the new-gen model. That means the 2021 version will bring far less improvements. Still, the spy shots are available, and mid-cycle refreshments are about to happen. Isuzu will try to deliver a couple of visual innovations.
On top of that, the interior will get all of the critical updates. Under the bonnet, D-Max is using its four-cylinder engine. This mid-size pickup will offer excellent handling and enjoyable ride. Moreover, the price will remain affordable for such a versatile pickup truck. Let’s find out what we can expect from 2021 D-Max.
2021 D-Max Spy Shots
The spy cameras caught a prototype that we believe is the all-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max. On the spy shots, we can see a couple of visual upgrades. The roof, doors, and bed are more than visible sections, despite the camouflage. No doubt, D-Max pickup will remain unique and upscale. The third-gen model already looks fresh, attractive and upscale. Furthermore, the 2021 version will build on that.
Isuzu will look to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle. New tow hitches are available, and front fascia will offer a larger grille. The rear end looks more angular than before. New tires and additional chrome accents are also in the offer. A single exhaust suggests that there won’t be any powertrain changes.
Interior Updates
From the inside, a new 2021 Isuzu D-Max will look very upscale. The manufacturer is trying to deliver an SUV-like interior. We could say that Isuzu did that successfully. On top of that, D-Max will keep its unique pickup’s practicality. Design is modern and upper trims are very luxurious. The base trim level offers a substantial amount of technology.
The list of standard features is long. However, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not in the offer. The customers can choose between the two-door and four-door versions. The interior is practical and roomy, and there will be two different bed sizes. For 2021, D-Max will gain important tech updates and new driver-assistance systems.
Diesel and Gasoline Engine Specs, Rumors
Under the hood, the mid-size pickup truck won’t introduce any changes. The approaching 2021 Isuzu D-Max will offer a 3.0-liter diesel engine. This unit is capable of producing 180 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. The version for the U.S. market will most likely deploy 2.4-liter gasoline. On the other hand, gasoline powertrain is only suitable for 125 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque.
Both engines will use a 6-speed automatic transmission. The speculations about the new four-cylinder gasoline engine are still present. It is true, D-Max lacks a stronger engine worth the pickup truck. A high-performance variant could also be in the works.
2021 Isuzu D-Max Price and Release Date
The third-gen D-Max arrived with a price of $34,000. The same price stands for the all-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max. On the other hand, higher trim levels will cost around or over $50,000. The mid-size pickup truck will hit the markets next fall. The U.S. model will go on sale at the beginning of 2021.
