When it comes to compact pickup trucks, almost every manufacturer has something to offer. The upcoming 2020 Holden Colorado will be one very interesting model for numerous reasons. Holden already released details about the 2020 Colorado.
This pickup will build upon a facelift from 2016. It comes with a two and four-wheel drive setups. Visually, changes are minor. Even the interior will look almost the same as before. However, Holden will deliver a new trim level.
2020 Holden Colorado Exterior
Design of the forthcoming 2020 Holden Colorado will stay intact. The customers can choose between two body styles. Regular cab offers only two doors and a crew cab is available with four doors. The arriving pickup will keep its ruggedness. Some cues are still looking very aggressive.
However, lines and curves are providing a more stylish appearance. The front fascia will get slightly modified bumper. The roof rack is relatively new, just like the headlights and front grille. You can still buy grille in different colors, while the bumper is available only in body-color. Both bumpers will now wear slightly more chrome accents.
Interior Specs
Interior will remain stylish and modern. The cabin of the 2020 Holden Colorado is closer to the modern SUV than the actual pickup truck. There is room for four passengers and leather upholstery is optional. MyLink infotainment system is updated and a 7-inch touchscreen is still standard.
Colorado delivers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. The optional 8-inch touchscreen is a must as it is more user-friendly. Holden Colorado will get new safety aids, which includes features such as reverse camera and forward collision warning.
New Trim Level
One of the best things about the 2020 Holden Colorado is its wide range of trim levels. LSX trim level will be available once again. This trim is based on the LS model but it is only available in a crew-cab configuration. It comes with all-black exterior treatment. Fender flares, front grille, sports bar, and 18-inch alloy wheels are all blacked-out. The entry-level LS model will arrive with the automatic gearbox.
One of the most popular choices is the LTZ model. This trim comes with leather seats, an 8-inch infotainment display, and new spray-in tub liner. Of course, all of these features are standard on the LTZ trim.
The new trim level is the LTZ+, a small variation on the previous LTZ model. It adds a new tow-bar and this trim is generally all about towing and getting the work done. On top of the range, Z71 is the most expensive model.
2020 Holden Colorado Powertrain
This compact pickup truck offers numerous drivetrain options. Literally, each market will get different sort of powertrain. The 2020 Holden Colorado is most famous for its 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine. This engine generates 200 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. However, the base model is still available with the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline unit.
It can produce 200 horses and 192 lb-ft of twist. Optionally, a 3.6-liter V6 is available and it delivers 305 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel-drive setup is optional once again. On the other hand, all powertrains are now available with the 8-speed automatic transmission.
Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2020 Holden Colorado will stay intact. That means the base model will start at $28,000.
On the other hand, the range-topping trim level costs $55,000. The compact pickup truck will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2019.
