A 3.6-liter V6 is producing up to 310 horses. Recently, a speculated turbodiesel engine caught a lot of attention.
It is a possibility. However, the 2020 model will not get this powertrain for sure. In 2021, Canyon AT4 could get a 2.8-liter Duramax engine. This unit delivers 180 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. With a diesel engine, AT4 will tow almost 8,000 pounds. Standard V6 will arrive with the traction control and hill descent control systems.

The price of the all-new 2020 GMC Canyon AT4 will start somewhere between $35,000 and $40,000. The AT4 model will replace the All-Terrain trim level and it will become available this fall.
