After the spy shots were leaked on the internet, the world had an opportunity to see GMC Canyon model without camouflage. So the speculations were true, and we expect this pickup truck to arrive anytime soon. 2019 GMC Canyon Denali exterior and colors
The 2019 GMC Canyon Denali is available only in a Crew Cab configuration. The most significant exterior changes happened up front. The bright silver mesh grille is added and it comes with the red GMC lettering.
The lights are equipped with HID technology while daytime running lights add LED units. Fog lights are standard on Denali trim, just like the tow hooks and chrome accents on steps, bumpers and door handles. The 20-inch alloy wheels are a perfect addition to this truck and GMC added six new exterior colors:

2019 GMC Canyon Denali interior and technology
While the regular Canyon model looks nice and is well-equipped, the 2019 GMC Canyon Denali is luxurious compared to that. The interior offers perforated leather seats with cooling and heating options, and plenty of contrast stitching. The leather materials can be additionally found on the dashboard and wood accents on the door panels and center console are a perfect match. Only one color will be available for the interior and that include Jet Black. However, we expect few more in the final version of the truck.
Moreover, aluminum trim is included too, among the bright accents. The technology is perfect, as almost everything is standard. The 8-inch touchscreen, new infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 4G LTW Wi-Fi are all included. On top of that, the 2019 GMC Canyon Denali also adds a heated steering wheel, illuminated sill plates, and remote vehicle start system.
Safety is additionally better thanks to the Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert. 2019 GMC Canyon Denali engine
The upcoming 2019 GMC Canyon Denali pickup truck offers two drivetrain option. The base 2.5-liter is not available on the Denali trim, so its replacement is a 3.6-liter V6. This unit produces 308 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque, and Canyon can pull up to 7,000 pounds. An 8-speed automatic is the only available transmission. This engine will give EPA city/highway fuel economy of 18/25 mpg for the 2WD and 17/24 mpg for the 4WD.
Moving to the optional engine, and we get a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine. This four-cylinder drivetrain can produce up to 181 HP and 370 lb-ft of torque. Two-wheel drive in standard and four-wheel drive is optional.
With this “baby” diesel engine, the 2019 Canyon Denali can pull an impressive 7,700 pounds. Also, thanks to Tow/Haul Mode, Trailering assist and Trailering Package that includes trailer hitch and 7-pin connector the towing is easy and much safer than before.
2019 GMC Canyon Denali price and release date
While the fully-loaded SLT trim cost $34,000, the 2019 GMC Canyon Denali will cost slightly above $42,500.
