The upcoming 2023 Ford Ranger is a midsize pickup truck that’s very popular in the United States. This truck is strong, relatively good on gas, and offers a very nice cabin. A fifth-generation is expected to arrive next year, featuring more updates than before. This might not be very clear, but don’t expect a complete facelift at all.
From the latest information, the forthcoming truck will introduce mild changes this time. It will get a more attractive design for sure, but it will continue to be powered by the same engine. This truck is propelled by a turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine that is still good with towing.

2023 Ford Ranger Exterior Changes
The new 2023 Ford Ranger will be refreshed for the following year, and that’s always a good start to keep up with other models. As before, this truck will be available in a few Cabs. The SuperCab features two main side doors, while the SuperCrew cab has four regular doors. The SuperCab also comes with a 6-foot bed, while SuperCrew has a 5-foot bed. Interestingly, both trucks are 210.8 inches in length.
In terms of styling, there will be various packages with different cosmetic elements. The Tremor package is one of the favorites featuring many off-roading components like skid plates, hoop steps, tow hooks, and black grille mesh.
Cabin Equipment
On the inside, the 2023 Ford Ranger will be much more modern and comfortable. This truck offers a very spacious cabin that can fit five passengers. Moreover, if you are looking for some extra space, go for the SuperCrew version. The entry-level XL offers some of the basic amenities like vinyl flooring, cloth upholstery, and a plastic steering wheel. We recommended jumping to at least XLT and Lariat models. They both include an upgraded setup and an amazing 8-inch touchscreen.
Power-adjustable front seats are standard in the top Lariat trim and are also available as an option in the XLT. The dashboard is also unremarkable and fairly easy to use. On top of that, the manufacturer offers a Splash package that will add an exterior orange-and-black color scheme inside.

2023 Ford Ranger Under the Hood
The 2023 Ford Ranger is the truck that will use the same engine as before. Every Ranger is hooked to a turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, the engine comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and it sends drive to the rear wheels (RWD) in standard form.
In addition, you can get all four if the optional 4-wheel drive system is installed. The manufacturer added a standard stop/restart function to save some extra fuel, which can be turned off if the driver wishes.

Release Date and Price
The debut of the 2023 Ford Ranger will reportedly happen in late 2022. Along with the regular model, Blue Oval will also introduce the Raptor variant as well. Unlike the standard model, the Raptor features beefier suspension and a few extra stuff for off-road lovers.
A rear-drive Ranger with the 6-foot bed and XL trim starts at $25,285, plus a destination charge. The Lariat Crew Cab is $39,250 and filled with options, it can end up closer to $47k. For comparison, the latest Toyota Tacoma starts at $26.5k, the Chevy Colorado at $27k, while the GMC Canyon and Nissan Frontier are nearer $28k.
