The new 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty should arrive with significant changes and upgrades. However, Blue Oval won’t deliver major visual changes, as some reports already suggested. On the other hand, new exterior color and appearance packages will be on offer. The interior will undergo more dramatic upgrades, including a new touchscreen option.
It is the next-gen Super Duty lineup, so all trucks in the lineup will gain the same updates. The goal is to deliver more modern stuff and to make the F-250 truck even more competitive. Thanks to that, Ford also offers more standard features, better safety ratings, and possibly increased towing capacity. This model will hit the markets by the end of 2021.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Facelift
As we said, the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty won’t change visually. The latest spy photos are showing exactly that. However, new Atlas Blue exterior color is on offer. The F-250 truck is also offering new appearance packages. New Lariat Sport appearance package comes with the same exterior features as the Lariat trim level.
The Black appearance package is also available. As its name suggests, it comes with black 20-inch wheels, darkened grille, running boards, and much more. Both packages can be had on the XLT trim level. The rest of the exterior design remains intact, according to the latest reports. Blue Oval will reveal more details in the next month or two and we hope to see even more cosmetic upgrades.
Interior Improvements
The upcoming 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty comes with significant interior updates. For a start, the Super Duty lineup will introduce a larger touchscreen. It is a 12.0-inch horizontally-oriented display that matches the size of Ram’s screen. Additionally, Ford will provide new interior colors. That includes the new Baja interior color scheme for the Lariat trim level.
The Limited trim will introduce Light Slate and Navy Pier colors. Spy shots didn’t show interior details, but we expect more upgrades from the Blue Oval. All Super Duty trucks will offer a longer list of features, new safety aids, updated infotainment system, and much more.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Engine
The all-new 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will continue to offer the same engine lineup. As before, a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine is available, developing 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Ford says the potent V8 is the best gasoline engine in the heavy-duty segment. On the other hand, if you want a more capable F-250 with improved towing capacity, an optional turbodiesel powertrain is the way to go.
A 6.7-liter PowerStroke engine will provide around 1050 lb-ft of torque, which is amazing. Ram and Chevrolet are increasing the level of torque, year after year, so Ford could follow the same path and deliver even higher torque level for its turbodiesel engine. A 10-speed automatic transmission is in use once again. If you opt for the diesel engine, gooseneck, and the fifth-wheel, your F-250 truck will be able to tow almost 33,000 pounds.

Price, Release Date
The new-gen Ford F-250 Super Duty will now cost $35,000. Ford decided to increase the price, given how significant the updates are. On the other hand, the range-topping trims will be available for over $50,000. The sales should begin this fall.
