2021 Ford Ranger: New Leaked Photos

Ford Ranger is coming back to the North American market. The fourth-gen 2021 Ford Ranger is now one of the most anticipated truck models for so many reasons. After the comeback, we can expect further redesign and improvements in terms of quality and performances. According to latest rumors, new Ranger will share the platform with the Amarok model. Interestingly, both models will be available in Europe and Africa as well.

The 2021 Ranger was spotted completely uncovered near Melbourne, Australia. The prototype vehicle was looking different than the current Ranger. However, dimensions and shape are clearly pointing out that this is the famous Ranger model. Exterior upgrades are numerous, and we can expect a significant interior update as well. In terms of performances, the new Ranger will get various engine options for different markets.

2021 Ford Ranger Offers Plenty Of Chrome Accents

The prototype model is showing us a huge departure from the current Blue Oval’s design language. As many car experts expect, both the international T6 and the North American variants will look the same. For the start, we can spot plenty of similarities with the F-150 pickup truck. The front end comes with a rectangular grille and plenty of chrome accents.

Grille bars are similar to the bars on the F-150 model. C-shaped headlights are standard, along with the rectangular fog lights. To the sides, the 2021 Ford Ranger is more or less unchanged. Sidestep is available, along with the existing eight-spoke wheels. The rear end is unique, especially the taillights that are looking no way near the taillights at the current Ranger of F-150.

Unfortunately, the 2021 Ford Ranger still comes with a mysterious interior. The prototype vehicle was spotted, but only from the outside. Some changes will happen for sure for the mid-size truck. Current Ranger is offering a comfortable cabin with plenty of modern features and amenities. Super Crew cab variant will offer room for five persons. Moreover, we can expect optional bucket seats or the premium B&O audio system.

New 8.0-inch touchscreen will be in the offer and the SYNC3 system will be completely updated. However, all those updates are far from significant. We can’t expect the changes in terms of interior layout, especially not seating layout. But we can expect rearrangement of the buttons and controls. Also, Blue Oval automaker will most likely deliver more premium materials, even in the base model and not only in the upper trims.

The 2021 Ford Ranger will offer the same 2.3-liter DOHC turbocharged engine. This four-cylinder EcoBoost unit produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is available, along with the part-time all-wheel-drive setup. However, the rear-wheel-drive configuration will be standard.

International T6 Ranger model will offer numerous powertrain choices. That starts with the 2.5-liter diesel unit that generates 165 HP and 167 lb-ft of torque. Another diesel is the popular 2.0-liter EcoBlue engine. This smaller output cranks out 210 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque.
