2021 Ford F-450 Gains Better Interior and More Torque

The all-new 2021 Ford F-450 will get numerous upgrades. Blue Oval manufacturer is looking to improve its complete heavy-duty lineup, so F-350 and F-450 models are the first in line for more drastic changes. Moreover, Ram and Chevrolet are also updating their models, so Ford needs to stay competitive. For that reason, you can expect numerous changes.

For a start, 2021 F-450 will arrive with an improved cabin. On the other hand, exterior changes are minor, and a new model will look almost the same as its predecessor. Performance is great, and we can expect small improvements in this segment. F-450 will remain practical, and it will be available in numerous trim levels and cab configurations.

2021 F-450 Exterior Changes

Currently, we don’t have official info about the latest design changes. Whatsoever, the 2021 Ford F-450 has been caught on camera, so the first spy shots are available. Unfortunately, spy shots are showing basically the same model as 2020 F-450. For that reason, we don’t expect such major upgrades. The boxy shape will largely remain, along with the vehicle’s dimensions. The only difference we see is upfront, where the grille looks slightly wider.

Headlights are unchanged, and we can only hope for more chrome accents around the grille. If you want more luxury, go for the Premium or Limited trim levels. Moreover, Ford is offering its F-450 in single and double cab setups. According to the latest rumors, King Ranch trim level will become available once again.

Interior Gets Numerous Updates

We didn’t see any of the interior details on the latest spy photos. However, the new 2021 Ford F-450 will surely get numerous changes on the inside. It’s a direct Ford’s response to Ram and Chevrolet and their new interiors. Some would say this is getting out of hand. Pickup trucks, especially heavy-duty pickup, should serve to get the work done. No one actually cares about the level of luxury inside the cabin. We disagree, and we can’t wait to see how the new F-450 will look from the inside.

Surely, this is raising the price of the vehicles, but if you want something less premium that gets the job done, you can still find something similar. Anyway, F-450 will gain a higher level of comfort, new optional display, and possibly a new upholstery. Moreover, chrome and wood trims are now more visible and are providing a more luxurious feel. On the other hand, the interior layout won’t change at all.

Removing this engine from the offers seems to be the most realistic outcome.

Lastly, a 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine is available, and it is optional. It can produce 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque. However, Ford said that V8 would be rated at 1050 lb-ft in 2021. Moreover, Ford promises 24,200 pounds of conventional towing capacity. On the other hand, the maximum towing capacity with a Gooseneck is rated at 37,000 pounds.
