The 2020 Ford Raptor Hybrid is touted to be the best Raptor model so far. That will include everything from the exterior design, comfier interior, and astonishing performances. The performance will get a huge boost thanks to the inclusion of the hybrid powertrain. Generally, this versatile pickup truck offers unique styling and off-road capabilities that are hard to beat.
After the inclusion of the new 7.0-liter V8 engine, the plan of the Blue Oval carmaker is pretty clear. Everything is preparing for the Raptor Hybrid variant and we will see this model on the roads in a two-year time. Expect minor exterior facelift and interior refresh as well.
2020 Ford Raptor Hybrid looks same as the standard model
The exterior of the 2020 Ford Raptor Hybrid will not largely depart from the original model. This model will be lighter than the current Raptor model thanks to more aluminum work. Up front, the grille looks really distinctive and is blacked-out. We can spot a lot of bulky creases and sharp lines so the truck’s stance looks even more muscular.
Generally, the front end looks slightly wider and overall, Raptor is wider than all of its competitors. The tailgate adds a huge F-O-R-D stamping and new exterior paints are in the offer. Avalanche and Ruby Red colors are not available anymore. Whatsoever, Lead Foot and Race Red are the new exterior paints. Just as on the previous models, Raptor Hybrid will ride on 17-inch wheels. The panoramic sunroof is an optional feature and we highly recommend it.
2020 Ford Raptor Hybrid interior changes
The forthcoming 2020 Ford Raptor Hybrid offers one very welcoming and comfy interior. The room inside the cabin is great, among the best-in-class. The changes are minor, or to be more precise, there are no changes, only a couple refreshments. Some systems will get the latest updates and basically, this is it.
The Super Crew cab models are coming with the best rear legroom in the class. Rear legroom is rated at 33.5 inches while smaller cab comes with 23.4 inches. The interior sports upscale materials and more luxury can be found in the optional features. That includes more leather materials, optional ambient lighting and much more.

While the regular Raptor model offers a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 as standard engine, the changes will happen for sure. Moreover, an optional 7.0-liter DOHC V8 is one of the most powerful units in the segment, so it would be interesting to see which engine will be paired with the electric motor.

With that in mind, not only the Raptor will bring astonishing performances, but also great fuel economy. We don’t know yet the exact Ford’s plan, but it would be interesting to see a 7.0-liter V8 in a combination with the hybrid variant. No matter what happens, a 10-speed automatic transmission will remain for sure.
