The new 2020 Ford F-350 is coming and it will bring a lot of changes. First spy shots emerged and we saw a test vehicle cruising down the streets in Michigan. While the vehicle is under a heavy camouflage, we can still spot changes and upgrades. Well, most of them.
The rear part will gain a much more F-150-like tail and the front end comes with a traditional redesign. Under the skin, the 2020 F-350 now offers an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission. That means the new engine is in the offer as well. The interior will get minor changes only. However, safety rating gets a significant improvement. That means the F-350 model comes with plenty of changes. It will look amazing and it will provide even better performances now.
2020 Ford F-350 will borrow literally everything from the F-150 model
The arriving model will get visible upgrades and changes. Even under heavy camo, we can easily spot the differences in the front and rear section. The front end now comes new grille that looks more sculpted and sportier. The shape is definitely different, but we are still waiting to see details on the grille itself. We are sure the grille will once again host large company’s emblem. The headlights will also suffer a redesign, which should provide more modern look.
The rear end will now look completely different. While the front part looks very unique, the rear will borrow literally everything from the F-150 model. That includes everything from the taillights to the tailgate. This is actually a smart move from the Blue Oval and the 2020 Ford F-350 will keep its dimensions and shape.
2020 Ford F-350 interior
Unlike the exterior, the interior of the all-new 2020 Ford F-350 won’t get such significant updates. Spy shots are not providing any pictures of the interior. However, the interior of the F-350 will not depart from the F-150 and F-250 model at all.
Knowing that you can expect from the Blue Oval to deliver the same level of comfort, if not better. The SYNC3 system will get an update, along with some other high-tech systems. Cloth upholstery will remain a standard choice, which means the leather is optional, again.
2020 Ford F-350 powertrain
According to the latest rumors, the 2020 Ford F-350 will ride on a 7.0-liter V8. It means the 6.8-liter Triton V10 is gone. The 7.0-liter comes with an all-new 10-speed gearbox. This powerful engine returns 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, a diesel engine will be in the offer. It is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8. Turbodiesel unit can produce up to 440 horses and 925 lb-ft of twists.
Tow rating is astonishing, around 21,000 pounds. Those figures are matching the tow rating of the Ram HD pickup truck. On the other hand, standard gasoline powertrain can tow up to 17,000 pounds.
