Blue Oval manufacturer is about to drop its all-new 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor. It is basically an off-roading package that comes with a 7.3-liter V8 engine. This package also adds lift kit and plenty of other off-road equipment.
However, Tremor variant is available on Ford’s new Super Duty models and only on crew-cab variants. Beside lifted suspension, F-250 Tremor will get new tires, beefy look, and more standard features. Ford promises a class-leading tow rating for its gasoline powertrain. However, there is no information about the exact engine specs. Of course, Tremor can be equipped with the diesel output as well.
2020 Ford F-250 Tremor Offers 10.8 Inches of Ground Clearance
We already saw a new F-250 model on the spy shots. Some of the new features will be available on the 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor pickup truck. Of course, the highlight of this package will be its off-roading equipment. For the start, Tremor comes with more ground clearance. Furthermore, the front end is lifted by two inches. Larger shocks and new 35-inch Goodyear tires are available as well. Ford will install new rock-crawling drive mode and new trail cruise control.
Of course, the goal is to deliver an off-roading beast that will rival the Ram Power Wagon model. As for the design, new F-250 Tremor will look beefier than the regular heavy-duty model. It offers 10.8 inches of ground clearance. Approach angle is rated at 31.6 degrees and departure angle at 24.5 degrees. 18-inch wheels are available as standard and Ford is also offering new off-road running boards. Skid plates are the same as on the previous XF4 package.
Cabin Comfort and Techs
The forthcoming 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor will deliver interior similar to the cabin of the F-150 Raptor model. Everything from the inside will look very upscale and stylish. Moreover, the cabin will stay practical and the layout is very simple. More quality materials are available and comfort is more than satisfying. The dashboard will be slightly changed, just like the center console.
Of course, if you want more luxury, that is a possibility as well. Whatsoever, Tremor package is available on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trim levels. More importantly, both the F-250 and F-350 model are offering new Tremor variant. As for the technology, Ford didn’t provide any real information. On the other hand, the Blue Oval will surely deliver a long list of available features.
2020 Ford F-250 Tremor Engine
If you find F-150 Raptor not powerful enough, new 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor could be the answer. So far, Blue Oval did say something about the performances. However, most of the specs are not available yet. For the start, we know that the 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine will be in the offer. The manufacturer promises the “best in class” performance. Of course, Ford didn’t specify horsepower and torque figures. That also includes tow rating and payload capacity.
Ram Power Wagon can tow up to 10,350 pounds. If Blue Oval is right, then we can expect the rating of 11,000 pounds or even more. A 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel will be in the offer as well. This powertrain will deliver 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to that, F-250 Tremor will tow almost 33,000 pounds.
