The all-new 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor will be the best Raptor so far, no doubt about it. This special version of the regular F-150 truck comes with a stunning design and tough stance. Raptor is very versatile both in and out it owns plenty of unique styling cues and amenities.
Off-road manners are great, bodyweight is reduced and there is even a new engine in the already respective lineup of drivetrains. The interior comes with minor changes, but it is already a more than a pleasing cabin with plenty of high-tech features.
A diesel engine is already present, and new 2020 F-150 Raptor could also get a hybrid drivetrain.
2020 Ford F-150 Raptor exterior is bulky
The exterior really looks amazing. As we already wrote, bodyweight is reduced thanks to the more aluminum materials. Body panels and aluminum bed are bolstered even more and black-out grille looks distinctive. Plenty of bulky styling cues are present, just like the beautiful lines and creases. While the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor will stay the same, some new updates are visible.
The tailgate now holds a large “FORD” stamping in the center, and the taillights are restyled. The front end is wider than on the previous model, and generally, Raptor is wider than its rivals. Skid plates are standard, just like the rear tow hooks and 17-inch wheels. The panoramic sunroof is optional and there is a new set of dual exhaust pipes.
Colors
Ford also added newly available exterior paints: Ruby Red and Avalanche colors are gone and are replaced with Race Red and Lead Foot.
2020 Ford F-150 Raptor interior offers comfortable seats
The forthcoming 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor offers a comfortable interior with a generous room. While better than its rivals, opt for a couple of optional features and the cabin will look and feel luxurious. On the other hand, the changes in the new model are minor as Ford thinks the interior is just fine. Super Crew cab offers the best-in-class rear legroom, 33.5 inches to be exact.
A smaller Super Cab comes with rear legroom that is rated at 23.4 inches. When it comes to interior features, everything remains, only some of the amenities are getting an update. The cabin holds plenty of soft-touch materials and even hard plastic materials are looking good. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is standard now, while the beautiful ambient lighting with customizable colors is optional.
2020 Ford F-150 Raptor engine
It’s not surprising that the 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor will ride on an EcoBoost V6 since the Blue Oval carmaker puts this unit into almost every model. This 3.5-liter powertrain comes with a 10-speed transmission and it generates 450 HP and 510 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, mileage is rated at 16 mpg combined.
The greatest addition so far is a 7.0-liter DOHC V8 that is currently in production in one of Ford’s plants in Ohio. American carmaker claims that this engine will deliver a class-leading number. The hybrid drivetrain is a possibility as well, it won’t make a product for the upcoming model, but 2020 model is a realistic option for a hybrid mill.
