2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup is Coming to The South America

The all-new 2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup is getting numerous updates. Interestingly, the pickup is based on the Mobi, a city car that is available in South American markets. And just like the car variant, a pickup truck will also feature smaller dimensions, and it will be available in South America. Moreover, this model is closely related to the Fiat Fiorino model.

This model is replacing the Fiat Strada, aka Ram 700. As for the Mobi Pickup, it could feature a different name once it arrives. After Toro, Mobi will be the second company’s pickup. The latest spy shots are available, so let’s find out more about Fiat’s latest model.

2021 Mobi Pickup Spy Shots

The upcoming 2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup will look rugged, especially up front. The latest spy shots are available, and we can finally see what Italian automaker has to offer. Heavy camouflage isn’t helping at all, but most of the exterior is visible. For a start, it is clear as day that the pickup is based on the Mobi hatchback model. Moreover, Mobi will be closely related to the Fiorino model as well. It is a four-door pickup truck that also offers a relatively large bed.

A longer wheelbase is visible at first glance, and we like Fiat’s SUV-like body cladding. Under the camo, we expect the same 3D grille with the Fiat’s badge in the center. The side profile comes with a beautiful character line that rises toward the back of the vehicle. The end of the vehicle hosts a large bad that will surely offer around 26 cubic feet of space. Finally, rectangular taillights are looking very modern and distinctive.

Interior Specs

Just like the car version, the new 2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup will be an affordable model without fancy stuff inside the cabin. Whatsoever, hatchback and pickup truck will be very similar in terms of interior design. Don’t expect plenty of luxury and high-tech features at all. Unfortunately, the cabin is looking cheap, but this is a logical move as Mobi will be sold in South America.

The competition is not so heavy as in North America, so it does make perfect sense. However, the legroom is pretty decent. We like the design of the center stack and its upper and lower sections. The infotainment display is small, and we just hope to see a larger and optional unit. The rest of the interior will be straightforward and comfort is solid rather than good.

Mobi Will Borrow Engine Lineup from Strada and Fiorino

Once it arrives, the brand-new 2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup will deploy two engine options. Logically, Mobi will share engine lineup with other Fiat models in South America, mainly Strada and Fiorino. With that in mind, a 1.4-liter will be a standard option, and it will produce 84 hp and 90 lb-ft of torque. Larger 1.8-liter gasoline will be optional.

This engine will generate around 130 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. As for the transmission, a five-speed manual is the most likely outcome for both engine options. AWD system won’t be in the offer, so expect a regular front-wheel-drive setup.

2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup Price and Release Date

This small pickup truck will replace the Strada model, and it will cost about the same. New 2021 Fiat Mobi Pickup will start at $13,500. Its main rivals are Chevy Montana and Volkswagen Saveiro. As we said, Mobi will become available in South America exclusively. We can expect this model in the coming months.
