The 2020 Fiat Fullback will be offered firstly in Europe, logically. However, Africa and the Middle East should have the opportunity to buy this modern truck very soon. French carmaker is offering numerous body configurations and two trim levels. The four-door model will arrive with the room for four persons and that configuration will be standard. The mid-size pickup will deploy the same powertrain as the L200 pickup model. Besides the SX and LX trim levels, Fiat is also offering a Fullback Cross model as well.
2020 Fiat Fullback To Ride On The Same Platform As The Nissan Navara
Surprisingly, the 2020 Fiat Fullback will ride on the aging architecture. It could become an issue in the near future, especially if the French carmaker plans to make a hybrid version. However, some speculations circulating that the 2020 Fiat Fullback will ride on the same platform that underpins the Nissan Navara. Fullback is offering two body configurations, along with the two trim levels.
The extended cab with four doors is standard body style and it comes with the larger cargo area. Double Cab configuration is a more practical version with more seats. The base SX trim is looking similar to the Mitsubishi Triton model while the LX trim will offer a slightly different look and styling.
2020 Fiat Fullback Interior Features 7-inch Touchscreen As Standard
The forthcoming 2020 Fiat Fullback will look modern, just like its sibling L200. French carmaker will look to mirror most of the things from Mitsubishi and that type of design is very easy to spot. The 7-inch touchscreen unit comes as standard and the infotainment system is updated for 2020. Cloth upholstery is standard as well.
However, LX models will use leather as standard, along with the larger touchscreen. Extended Cab models will offer room for four passengers and the Double Cab variant will arrive with five seats.
2020 Fiat Fullback Will Use Mitsubishi L200 aka Triton Engine
Under the hood, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine will power the new 2020 Fiat Fullback. It is the same engine that currently powers the Mitsubishi L200 aka Triton. Turbodiesel unit is capable of producing up to 180 horses and 320 lb-ft of torque. Arriving pickup can reach 110 mph and it will use a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The optional four-wheel-drive system offers two configurations. A 4WD low and 4WD high. Electric rear differential comes as standard and this pickup can tow almost 6,500 pounds. The premium Fullback Cross version will use the same diesel engine as the base model.
2020 Fiat Fullback Price and Release Date
The 2020 Fiat Fullback will retain its price that starts at $30,000. The LX trim will cost around $35,000 and the special Fullback Cross model will cost slightly over $35,000. The 2020 Fiat Fullback will begin its sales in Europe by the end of 2019. Shortly after that, the sales will start in the Middle East and Africa. U.S. markets will get the Fullback pickup in the first half of 2020.
