Chevy is serious about taking the fight with rivals like the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan. As far as we know, the refreshed 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 should roll into the market this year with minimal cosmetic changes. Besides small exterior upgrades, the forthcoming truck will also come with a revamped cabin design, offering updated technologies. There is also a choice of three cabin sizes including Regular, Double, Crew.
As before, the powertrain lineup of this truck consists of a standard turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-4, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6, a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. However, we doubt that an electric Chevrolet Silverado will appear before 2024.

2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Redesign
In 2019, the Chevy Silverado adopted a controversial new front end. However, for 2023, the changes are minimalistic, and this truck retained its boxy, upright proportions. Moreover, it incorporated more cuts and angles than the previous generation. With this update, the design of the upcoming truck looks more eye-catchy. It features more traditionally styled grille, the more shaped daytime running lights, and a robust hood. As before, depending on the trim level, different grille designs will be available. The high Country models are the most recognized, featuring additional chrome and wheels up to 22 inches in diameter.
The ZR2 model is available as well, and it gets a more athletic aesthetic thanks to new black 18-in wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. The ZR2 models also include a black plastic “Chevrolet” wordmark grille, red recovery points up front, and a unique grille.
Interior Changes
Inside, the new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will be mostly a carryover from the previous-gen model. The interior is roomy and modern, and the Silverado 1500 competes with more luxurious models like the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500.
This truck comes with dual-zone climate control, leather interior, 8-inch touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, heated seats, and steering wheel. The top-level High Country Silverado is still the most equipped trim including leather upholstery, open-pore wood trim, and a Bose premium audio system.

2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Powertrain Specs
Under the hood, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will be available with a few engine options. The base model will use a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder producing 310 horsepower with 420 lb-ft of torque. The more powerful engine is optional, and it consists of a 5.3-liter V8, which has a horsepower advantage of 355 horses.
Additionally, you can also get either a 6.2-liter V8 that produces 420 horsepower or 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel inline-6 that makes 277 horsepower with 460 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine will increase towing capacity by 4,000 pounds, going from 9,300 to 13,300.

2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Release Date, Price
Based on many reports, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 carries a base price of $31,500. However, going for a Silverado LT price will increase to $42,600, while the RST trim begins at $46,900. The more luxurious High Country is $56,800, while the ZR2 off-roader starts at $65,100.
In the same pricing range are models such as the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. All models mentioned above will be available to purchase later this year, most likely around September.
