Like in the current model, we expect same 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel which makes an output of 445 horsepower.
However, what type of transmission unit will be used with these engines is not clear. GM may or may not use the newly developed 10-speed automatic gearbox in the Silverado 2500 HD range.
Towing capacity may get a hike in 2019-since rival Ford has brought new Super Duty range with enhanced towing range. The previous model has a towing capacity of 18,100 pounds.
