The forthcoming 2021 Bollinger B2 is the electric pickup truck that will shake the world. It features a traditional look and impressive capacity. On top of that, the B2 model is extremely versatile and powerful. Basically, B2 is the stretched version of the B1 SUV and it adds a cargo bed in the back.
Thanks to its dual-motor setup, Bollinger’s new model packs 614 horses and almost 700 lb-ft of torque. Its battery is easy to charge and it offers good driving range. Similar to the new Jeep Gladiator, B2 pickup also offers removable and foldable body panels.
2021 Bollinger B2 Exterior Design
If you like strange-looking pickup trucks, then the 2021 Bollinger B2 is the model for you. We can’t say that it looks beautiful and attractive at all. Its shape is very strange and unique. Styling is very odd and not that eye-catching as many fans hoped. B2 pickup will borrow a lot of stuff from the B1 SUV. Whatsoever, pickup version is very similar but it is longer and it comes with the bed. The square shape is practical and that’s it.
While it doesn’t look no way near its competitors, B2 offers a front trunk aka “frunk”. Thanks to the lower tailgate and lifted the hood, Bollinger B2 offers amazing interior room. The front bumper looks tough and mean and round headlights are very traditional. You can buy mud-terrain tires and larger optional wheels if you like off-roading. On top of that, the B2 pickup truck offers 20-inch of ground clearance.
Very Practical Interior
If you expect a luxury interior, that is not going to happen. The 2021 Bollinger B2 is about getting the job done. It is a versatile and practical pickup in every possible category. Interior is perhaps the finest example. Foldable rear wall, a 6-inch cargo bad and removable body panels are all available. On top of that, you can remove roof panels, windshield, doors, and windows. You can find a similar thing on the Jeep Wrangler SUV or new Jeep Gladiator pickup.
The list of the standard and optional amenities isn’t impressive at all. Heated seats and air conditioning is the best you can get. On top of that, Bluetooth and up to six 100-volt outlets are available as well. Interestingly, Bollinger won’t offer so many driver-assistance systems. Knowing that safety obviously isn’t the priority for the manufacturer. Still, this pickup has to pass the regulations and crash testing.
2021 Bollinger B2 Engine and Towing Capacity
No matter which trims level you opt for, B2 pickup offers an AWD system as standard. The credit goes to a pair of electric motors. One is mounted at the front and the second motor is mounted at the back. Together, this output delivers 614 hp and 668 lb-ft of torque. The 2021 Bollinger B2 can reach from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 100 mph. Bollinger promises a two-speed transfer case with high and low ranges. This should improve off-road capability.
Speaking of which, B2’s ground clearance ranges from 10 to 20 inches. This electric pickup can tow up to 7500 pounds and maximum payload is set at 5001 pounds. The B2 pickup truck also comes with a 120-kWh battery pack. Bollinger will offer around 200 miles of driving range which is more than enough. The battery needs around 10 hours to charge via a 220-volt outlet. However, DC fast-charging gets the job done in 75 minutes.
2021 Bollinger B2 Price and Release Date
There is no official price yet for new 2021 Bollinger B2. However, many experts are predicting the price in a range between $58,000 and $62,000.
You can already apply on the waiting list and reserve new B2 pickup. This model will go on sale in a one-year time, possibly in the second half of 2020.
